Native of Virginia, earned BFA in Art History/Museum Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University 1988, have been working as a framer since 1983, first conservation-related experiences were studying at VCU (Laurence Pace) and lab assistant (Cleo Mullins). Relocated to San Francisco and began employment at Sterling Art Services in 1988. Company was established in 1981; and became owner in 1991. Our focus is on creating museum quality frame packages, couple with excellent structural considerations and art-historical appropriate frame designs which lean heavily on hand-finished frames constructed from North American hardwoods.
