Susan is currently the Special Collections Conservator at Northwestern University Library. She holds a BA in Art from Northern Illinois University and an MLIS in Conservation from the University of Texas at Austin. She first fell in love with conservation while working at Smithsonian’s NMAH and NMNH in the early 1990s and has since worked at the Library of Congress, Nishio Conservation Studio, and the Newberry Library. She teaches book and paper conservation at the Campbell Center/International Center for Preservation Studies. Susan is a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation.
