Susan is a Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation National Heritage Responder (FAIC -NHR) and on the Boards of FAIC Emergency Committee and FAIC-NHR Working Group.  Susan teaches Disaster Protection and Recovery worldwide, including Nepal and Greece. She responded to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012 – 2013..  She provides disaster assessment surveys and emergency response for all types of private and institutional collections.  Susan has been a Specialist Archives Consultant for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in New Orleans since 2007.  Susan is the founding member of the Art Conservators Alliance, started in 2001.
